No
I Have got a 400d but need to print images quicker than i am
When I take a shot I have to plug USB in to printer then print

I want to work faster than this and be able to print without messing is there a WTF for this model as I no you can get them for more advanced cameras or even a wire that can be plugged in to the printer to print soon ad it's took to save time
(time is money)

Any help would be much appreciated

Have a look at Eye-fi cards, should solve your problem.

Hi I just found them on eBay do you no if you have to be connected to the Internet to send them or will the card reader plugged into USB sort it out without Internet connection

The Eyefi card is SD/SDHC - whilst you can get a CF/SD adaptor, success is limited with the EyeFi.

The EyeFi works via wireless network - so there's no card reading involved, you can choose how you upload the pictures from the card "all", "only the ones you choose", "only the ones you don't choose" - it can be done either peer-to-peer (ie. camera to PC/phone/tablet) or direct to many online destinations...

Am I reading it right that you're plugging the camera into the USB of the PC? If so a card reader will most likely speed your life up rather more for a much smaller outlay than either a WFT or an EyeFi card (and a lot less stress than finding a CF/SD adaptor that works with EyeFi for you)

So I need a wifi connection then as I am as mobile as poss
I plug the USB lead into the camera to transfer Images to my laptop then print
But with my 400d soon as you plug the USB in the camer will not take shots is there a lead that could be baught so I could snap-send-print very quickly

No, as I said you don't need a wifi connection for the EyeFi - it will work direct from EyeFi to laptop (peer-to-peer) without any other device being present.

But I also doubt you will get it to successfully work with the 400D without going through a lot of CF/SD card adaptors to find the one that works for you (been there - different camera but same issue - gave up, bought new camera).

I also doubt such a lead is possible for your camera - trying to shoot and extract pictures from the CF card at the same time is like trying to use a CD in two places simultaneously. It'll be a hardware limitation. The only possibility I can envisage is using the camera control program (that lets you control the camera via USB and I think it can be set to automatically send the pictures to the controlling computer) - but that would require your camera to be on a USB umbilical to the laptop and the laptop would be in full control of the camera (ie. buttons overridden).

Sorry I also plug USB straight into printer after I take a shot to print but it is time consuming and need a quicker option as the weather is getting better and want to snap as many people as poss

Thank you you help is great I have seen the cf card adaptor for the samdisk eyefi card but ill have to consider a few options as I don't want to be wasting money

Thanks again very helpfull

Then your least worst option (in terms of cash outlay and time spent) is likely to be a second CF card (and a card reader) and switch between them with an assistant doing the printing from Card B whilst you shoot on Card A (and switch them over regularly)

Not that I've seen - if there was it would probably have to be some sort of custom CF card... and I've not seen one of them either (you can bet that if there was such a device that could work in place of the EyeFi for a CF-based camera, the maker would be trumpetting from all available rooftops).
