Hi guys,

I have been looking for decent reporter type shoulder bag to house the below equipment (excl laptop but would be nice to have the option). Would prefer to go Lowepro as I have a Micro 200 and get on well with it but those Crumpler bags look pretty good and less 'steal me' appeal. Just getting a wee fed up of having to swing the bag off my shoulder unzip yadayada, a lid would be nice.

Anyway, link away,... cheers.

Billingham?

Morrisphoto have Billingham Hadley Pros on sale, although still expensive even at sale prices and only in khaki/tan. I have the black version and love it, but the most I ever put in mine is e.g. D200, 17-55, 105 vr and an old 180. I'm not sure how that compares with your Sigma stuff in terms of bulk though, but unless the 100-300 is enormous, it would probably all fit ok. I would definitely spend the extra tenner for the shoulder pad thingy.

Got a Lowepro Nova 5 AW. Holds the 1D, 70-200, 100-400, 28-105 and 50mm. About £60 if I remember correctly. Won't manage the laptop though.

I've got a crumpler loyal chap and carn't fault it, like you say it doesn't shout steal me. Mine wont fit a laptop in but the geekstar will fit laptop and camera equipment. Got mine off the bay for around £40-50, real steal :)

just had a look on Amazon...might be a bit on the small side though linky

:D

Looks pretty good,... going to see if a larger one can fit my 100-300 in it. Havnt got 2 bodies so probably will fit in somewhere...

Thanks for the link.

Thats what there website says. It looks like I should stop believing everything I read on the internet :suspect:

I use a lowepro Stealth reporter AW600. I've had all sorts over the years, including Billingham, and this is the one that answers all my needs. It's actually smaller than the Billingham 550, but will hold more. It's waterproof, very tough, and costs a lot less than the Billingham. You can find them for less than £100.

I also have an Omni pro/Pelicase 1520 combination which I use if I'm travelling abroad. My insurance demands a hard lockable case if I'm flying. It's a great combination, if a little heavy, but the Omni Pro on it's own, will still take my 1D plus the 80-200 2.8L, and the 24-70 2.8L, a 1.4X converter, EX580, charger and filters. It's a tight fit, but it will go in.

I cant find this one anywhere, the nearest thing is the Crumpler Daily XXL or XL. Are they the same or just different names?
Warehouse express has them, would link you straight to the page but their website doesn't work like that http://www.warehouseexpress.com/

Mr THX its the december quarter that can hold the laptop as well, must have been having a bit of a moment

I know this is gonna be too small for you but just incase anyone else is interested...

Just brought a Lowepro 100 AW from Jessops on line for £26 ish... Which is a damn sight cheaper than anywhere else... (One just went on ebay for £37.00)

Just enter this code - Bags20
in the field marked promotional codes/discounts and you get 20% off all bags!!!

Not sure how long this voucher is valid for though...
