Can I have my Xmas prezzie early?

OK here's my dilemma! My wonderful girlfriend has just ordered an EF 50mm f1.8 MKII from Kerso for me as a Christmas prezzie :D :woot: . Trouble is, I WANT IT NOW! I keep suggesting it would be nice to have it as an early present but my pleas are falling on deaf ears :'( . How can I possibly wait another 2 months, knowing the nifty fifty is in the house, hidden, somewhere :shrug:

So what to do? Should I wait patiently or should I keep trying to persuade her to let me have my present early? If so, any tried and tested persuasion techinques you'd like to share ;) Help me out guys!

Nikkor? They fit some obscure brand called Nikon don't they? :lol:

Search the house from top to bottom, find it, take it out of the box, stick another crappy old £5 lens of ebay in there, put the new lens in your bag and use, be ecstatic on Christmas morning when you open your 'new' lens.

Job done.

Yeah, they used to fit Canon too... Still, they say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery ;)

Unfortunately there have been reports in the press ;) that a duff batch of these lenses have been produced. It is therefore imperative that any units recently purchased be throughly tested immediately, just in case it is a faulty unit that needs to be replaced :(

It's a nice lens, especially for the money. But I hardly ever use mine since I moved from film to digital. The crop factor just doesn't work for me on this one. It is a nice portrait lens though - almost too sharp...

I guess you'll have to wait!
 
I went out with mine today.

Tell her it's a great portrait lens, and if she lets you have it now you'll be able to take wonderful photos of her!

It's a good idea but it could backfire on me badly! :bonk:

Looks to me like youre just going to have to wait until she goes out, have a sneaky play and then make sure you put it back exactly how/where you found it.
Well, thats what I always do anyway, though it doesnt quite work as well with chocolate!

I would but I can't find it :( I feel like a kid again, knowing the xmas present I really want is in the house, beckoning me to find it! Tell you what, if I find it I'll take a few pics before putting it back EXACTLY where it was. If the pics are ok I'll post them - our secret shhhh ;)

Look in her undies drawer, or where she keeps the vac .... couple of places I know for sure any goodies I want to keep for myself are sure to be safe from my son's mitts :lol:
