Yes
I only have ssd drives in my main PC and whilst these hold more than enough storage for my data files I like to back up on the 2 tb hdd in my other pc. This second PC uses a 128gb ssd for the os.

I have home networked both these PCs and I access the second PC from the first but can only access the photo, music etc folders on the ssd drive. However I can't access the 2tb hdd drive. (Drive E).

Both run off win 10

Any thoughts?

it sounds like you haven't got the share permissions right for the hdd. can you see the the hdd from both pcs

I can see the 2tb hdd when using the second PC directly but not when using the first.

That said the home network only allows sharing of the pictures, music folder etc and by default these folders are always on the is drive and not the second hdd

Ok so following the win 7 info I now have this sorted. If anyone else is having similar issues I right clicked on the folders I wished to share and clicked share with and the rest is easy!

Useful link but to be on the safe side, I'd buy a NAS and that will put all your files in a safe place.
