Can anything be done with this in Photoshop?

I was hoping to get a classic peacock shot, but the bird refused to pose for me! I took this shot as it was walking away from me. The second shot is my attempt at a photoshop salvage. I wondered if anyone on here had any other ideas as a way of rescuing this picture?

Sorry, forgot to add, my own photoshop editing was a crop, and some curves adjustment and USM. Any other suggestions gratefully received!

Ok. Crop, levels and USM. How come it is really it has alot of noise? I think you may have over done th USM.

OK, thanks, will try to tone that down. Noise is also probably due to the fact that I had ISO on 800 because it was so dark under the canopy.

My original intention was to bin this one - just put it on here to see if anyone had any ideas for rescuing it. But it may be a lost cause anyway!
