Can anyone suggest locations for landscape photography?

Padley gorge, Chatsworth ( you might get a herd of dear as well as the capability views, house river and water falls, the whole of the peak distric is littered with fabulous views

Theres the WREKIN in telford, a bit of a hill but you get to see 5 counties, including north wales mountains. Im off there soon myself, probably sunday.

You could try parts of the National Forest (http://www.nationalforest.org/) as that is just south of Derby. It really depends on what type of landscapes you are after shooting. plenty of woodland / village & semi industrial areas within the National Forest

Always liked shooting in and around Bakewell myself, the puddings are nice too :)

I think the peak district is the outstanding area of the East Midlands for landscapes. Stanage and Curbar edge, the Great ridge above Castleton,Kinder Scout and Derwent edge near Ladybower reservoir are all excellent and fairly easy to get to from Derby.

Another vote for the Wrekin, I'm hoping to do some not shots up there soon. Can be very windy on top but there are massive views & huge skies, you can also see Buildwas power station at the end of Iron bridge from there too. :)

You could try Kenilworth Castle. Think it's near Coventry. Google will tell you. It also has some lovely gardens.

Surprise view is the one that looks over the Hope Valley as you come into the Valley on Hathersage Road from Sheffield. There's an almight big lump of rock concealing any view of Ladybower!
