Can any one rescue this picture

Hi All
I took this pic of my daughter at the weekend. I had to use my macro lens which was not adeal as she ran around.

unfortunately the teddy is in full focus but she is soft, don't think that can be fixed.

Can anyone fix the following and anythink else they think needs doing:
1. dodge her face so that itsa not in shadow
2. turn the volume down on her cardigen

I would really appreciate the help and or advice.
I still think this would be a nice photo if the faults can be resolved.

wow. you certainly fixed the face shadows. thanks
but the cardigen now has a bad blue color cast.
it needs to be white.

just noticed her eyes, wow so much better.
 
all I did was:
masked the cardy and lower the brightness, raise the contraast
masked the face and raised the brightness, lowered the contrast, sharpened (with unsharp mask)
masked the eyes and sharpened again

dunno where the blue cast came from
standby...

I reduced the blue - looks white(r) to me now - how is it for you?
 
hey I didn't say it made sense
I use CS3:
a) select the are to be sharpened
b) refine edges as you never get it right!
c) select filter - sharpen - unsharp mask
d) fiddle with settings (sorry - a bit of techie talk there)
e) click preview on and off and say wow!
f) click ok

carefull with the techie talk please were new lol, you done a good job thoe.

Hi Torque, You've a pretty little daughter and I expect she tried of daddy keep taking photos of her :-D it's a shame about the miss focus but an opportunity to play photoshop. I ran a soft light layer and a blur layer a little bit of burn and dodge and mixed it all together hope you like my effort :-D
