Can a Ipad pro be used as a Monitor ?

I have a iPad Pro and tried to look into using this as a monitor, I'm looking to use it for a Xbox to watch movies , play games etc while in hotel rooms as premier inn decided to block the HDMI ports on all there tv's.

has any one had any experience on using them this way , I found plenty of videos of iPad to tv but there is a little info on the other way.

EDIT - Also look for advice on what equipment I need to make this work too if it is possible.

any help would be much appreciated.

internet is too unstable , that’s the reason im going down bring my Xbox with me

speed days 8mbs but drops quicker then a prostitues nickers

I’ve just figured out how I can do this

I have a capture card , rig up to laptop and job is good one. What a complete tool I am .
