The camera strap on my 5D was absolutely minging and when I visited eBay to look for a replacement I was quite taken by the range of fabric straps that are now available so I took a chance and bought this one and I must say that the quality is extremely good for a fiver. There are loads of funky designs to choose from and quite a few sellers, love it!!!

 
I was just about to start a post on a similar thing.

I do have an Optech strap with the wider, foam padding but I'm not keen on it. I never wear it around my neck, usually across my body while walking. I was going to go back to the standard 5D2 strap but I THINK it has 5D MARK II written all over it [it's in the loft!!] I don't want a strap with all the writing over it. I want something Canon but plain(ish) or something like the above OP post.

Does anyone else have experience of these type of straps & a seller/shop if possible...? I wonder the quality of a £3 strap when hanging a few quids worth of gear from it.

get optech sling strap, easily there best strap for dslr by a long way. i have there other designs too
 
I've got a canon strap for sale on ebay. It's black with white graphics in near new condition. It just says canon digital on it.
 
come into the 21 century and look up black rapid you wont look back
 
View attachment 22598 I think the optech sling is close, specialy with a longer connector type on the camera, the br probably slides better and with the under shoulder thing will stop rotation, but that's not much of a issue, optech is much cheaper and avoids the tripod hole issues
 
it doesnt with the optech, less bounce than the classic neck strap. optech way you have the bottom of the camera flat against your hip, plus the padded bit of strap stretches which helps dampen shocks
 
Funnily enough I was looking this morning for a new strap! Recently bought 40d which didn't come with a strap! Have owned a black rapid before and found it a bit overkill!
Did a little research and these fit a good review!!
