I'm looking to buy a bigger rucksack to carry my sigma 150-600 mm c lens with my Nikon d5200 attached , nothing to expensive , but needs to be waterproof, and able to attach a black rapid strap to the shoulder straps, suggestions please! Thanks

A lowepro flipside 400 works well for me with the same lens on a D750. Easily holds a couple of other lenses as well.

Do you need a rucksack to just carry the camera, or camera plus items for a days walking / adventures and if the latter what kind of adventuring?

I would have thought either a Flipside 300 or 400 would fit the bill, my Flipside Sport 15L (similar side to the 300) fitted a 5D3 with Sigma 120-300 Sport attached

It only needs to carry the body and 150-600 lens attached, while walking a few miles to the spots of nature I want to take pictures of (wildlife) then I will attach a black rapid breath camera strap to the backpack! Which I thought about getting

Is that all it's going to carry?
I always carry the camera out of a bag... If I need to bring along some accessories (TC's, batteries, rain cover) I'll carry those in a belt pouch.

I have a Canon 70D with sigma 150-600mm on and it fits in my 400AW spot on with room to spare for other lens and things :)

Just had a quick look on my 400AW Tim, on the top on both sides are two straps, so the strap you have or want might clip on :)
Just ordered the backpack, and the man said the strap wouldn't be suitable, so ordered a Black rapid breathe sport left handed, didn't know they did ones for left and ones for right.
Thanks again for your help! :ty:
