Beginner Camera Reviews

I don't know who Mike Brown is, but in the context you have quoted, I would say absolute codswollop.
One writer's opinion is another writer's codswallop.

It was ever thus... :naughty:

Pentax used to be one of the best to use, but their customer service is worse than a four letter grocery store.

Fwiw, I shoot Pentax (amongst other brands) and have never had an issue with their customer service, not least because in all the years I've been using their kit I've never had the need to contact them!

For me, like Harry Potter's wand, I've found the camera chooses you. In other words, find somewhere you can get your hands on various cameras. You'll know pretty quickly which one feels right in the hand.

But thousands of people did with the solenoid that sets the aperture. I had a K50 that was within warranty when it packed up, but they took so long to respond, it was out of warranty by the time they did. How convenient! I had used Pentax since 1973 until that happened :)

I quite agree with the second part .

Sangoma, I bit the bullet and just ordered a camera from the link you sent me (GBR13ltd), so thank you for your help and patience, and to everyone else that I have annoyed by being so indecisive lol, I will post pics once it arrives later this week I hope. b****r all excited now lol.
Thanks to all, Andy
