Im sure you know, but.......In my experience the repairs are often more than the cost of replacement for many modern devices. By the time something's been shipped to & from, faulted, striped the faulty bit identified removed, a replacement shipped from wherever, fitted, tested the repair guaranteed etc...... If it's an easy fix - so worth doing you can often see the spares on Ebay. Ie if you think it's a motor, someone sells them on Ebay - it's probably worth repair. (may even be someone there offering that service & or even a video of how it's done on you tube!) If the parts aren't on Ebay then I'd suspect the job's uneconomical. It's sickening to have a device with what seems like a minor easy to repair fault that you can't get fixed so gets binned, but it just seems to be the times.......
