Camera RAW in PSE 6

I tried using camera RAW on PSE 6 the other day (I normally use capture 1) and it was nice and easy to use.

However, reading a very nicely timed article in Digital Photo on how to use Camera RAW, I noticed that the Camera RAW interface on my PC has less controls on it than the screen shots in the article.

I only have the 'basic' and 'detail' tabs, whereas the screenshots andthe article refer to curves/levels/etc tabs in a row above the 'basic' and 'detail' tabs.

does elements 6 have a cut down version of Camera RAW when compared to PS CS3?

Seems to be the fact. At least Elements don´t use all the tools.
I just installed the latest C Raw 4.5 ( Beta ) in my PSE 6 and only the same 2 tabs. Quess Adobe don´t want Elements to compete CS 3. The tools you mention is also in LightRoom.

ta, just stick to capture one then i guess.

I'll not use lightroom again as i tried the free trial and every time I opened a folder containing images in windows explorer (with thumbnail view) it crashed the computer time after time. un installed the trial and it viewed the images just fine. Guess my pc doesn't like lightroom.
