...just wondering if anyone has ever tried attaching an SLR onto a bike at all? trying to find appropriate clamps/mounts and the like, have a few ideas I want to try out...
do you mean a push bike or a motorcycle? i know of a couple of systems that allow you to attach either a camera or camcorder to the bike it uses the same type of screw thread as a tripod i think
a mountain bike...most probably the handle bars, I know you can get those little cameras (about the size of a loo-roll) and helmet mount them but I'm after handle bar mounting of an SLR
what about mounting to a head-cam like a helmet torch ?Use a remote trigger switch Using any kind of camera on the bike frame or handlebars is going to generate huge vibration through a fixed type mount I should have thought.
It would be neat if you could make a miniature suspension mount like the ones used by walking BBC cameras. You can run with those things
speed graphic have some different "tripod" clamps in there tripod section. Or theres the Gorilla pod that you can wrap around the handle bars if you cant find any thing better.
Mention you are a member of northloop.co.uk for a 10% discount - put this in the notes box when buying online.
Saying that though, I would recommend you dont. Get a bullet camera and attach to a camcorder/hard drive recorder and pull stills of that instead... otherwise I hope you have very good camera insurance
