Hi All

Has anyone had any dealings or experience (buying or selling) with Camera Jungle ??

They have given me a quote on a camera and lens that seems pretty good so I want to know if they are a reputable outfit and can be trusted.

I've just part exchanged my 600D really quick service and really friendly.

Highly recommend them.
 
They don't seem to list shutter counts for S/H cameras so be wary and ask.

Yep, as you know they sold me a D300 in mint condition with over 290,000 shutter count...

I read that you can ask them for the shutter count, but to be honest they should check this when accepting a camera for sale, not sure why they didn't.
 
Here's something that's really interesting...

The general manager used to be a Product Manager for Nikon UK...

They've definitely got fantastic customer service and they offer to buy products etc at good prices. I was just unlucky.

John, I came across your thread ref: the 300d with 290.000 plus shutter count, interesting.

As I'm selling to them (Canon 6d and 24-105L) I just wanted the reassurance that I wasn't going to get ripped off.

Hi Tim,

No not at all - they seem good, their customer service is great. I think I was just really unlucky to be honest.

I sold my 24-105L to MPB for £450... Found Camera Jungle after and the quote was £530 in part ex, gutted lol.

They are owned by a company that has a lot of experience in buying,selling,part-ex, and I believe I read online that the manager of Camera Jungle is an ex product manager of Nikon UK.

Just wanted to do an update to this thread.

I have got to say that "Camera Jungle" were excellent (I was selling)

Very good price paid, organised the courier (at my cost but cheaper than I could manage)

Money paid straight into my account within a couple of days.

So all in all, Excellent Service.

And no I do not have any connection with them other than being a happy customer.

are they better than MPB? Price wise I mean? I will need to check them out.
