just had a quote for 12 months cover on £5000 of kit which includes 60 days world wide cover for £2500 worth, for just over £80 , just waiting for them to email me the details to make sure there are no catches

They look as if they are agents "We will not in any circumstances act as an insurer nor can we ever guarantee or warrant the solvency of any insurer." - do you know who the insurance would be with? It does seem a very low quote.

If you pay by credit card for your insurance and something goes wrong you can often get the payment refunded

Why not get it added to your home insurance? I thought that was the better option.
