After Saturdays accident I think it’s time to think about insurance , luckily it was just me that suffered injury and camera and lens is fine , but it’s made me think
So any suggestions will help . Just need a cheap but reliable one really my gear is not mega money but would still hurt to replace from a pension

I have had insurance with Towergate, Photoguard and Aaduki.

My preference would be Aaduki.

Do you need camera specific insurance?

If just for hobby use, can you not just add to your house insurance?

Usually photo equipment insurance is useful for business use as you can tie in public liability insurance etc. but that wouldn't be need for hobby use.

Home insurance is a good one to check. I did have mine on my home insurance but recently changed it over to Eversure as it was roughly the same cost and had extra cover, mainly left in a locked boot. My Home insurance didnt cover that situation. Once I started to tally up the cost of replacement it was scary how much it added up to!
