I'm looking for a camera bag for taking on holiday, and it will be my carry-on.

My local camera shop was a Jessops, so I have nowhere good to have a look at bags. I have tried online, but even with the descriptions and photos it's hard to tell what's a good bag or not.

What I'm looking for is:
- Dimensions less than 55cm x 40cm x 24cm
- Room for camera, 3 lenses, accessories
- Somewhere to put tickets, passports etc. (ideally A4 paper can fit)

HAs anybody any suggestions?

I purchased Thisfor my trip to Egypt in August. It's currently holding a gripped 500D with Tamron 17-50 lens attached, Canon 70-200 f4L and a Metz 48-AF flash, And there's still space for a smaller lens (50mm 1.8, maybe 1.4 at a push). That's just in the camera compartment. In the top, there is plenty of space, However it wouldn't fit anything A4 size unless folded. I have had tickets in there for a few local flights, So you should be fine. The bag itself is Airline compliant, so you wont have any issues taking it on a plane.

EDIT: The only other downside i will say, It doesn't have a rain/weather cover. It's not an issue to me, as previously had one for a backpack and it fits nicely.

You didn't mention a budget, but I always use my Billingham Hadley Pro as my carryon luggage. Not cheap tho....

Another vote for a Billingham Hadley - superb bags, used them for years, never had any damaged equipment, and the more battered they become, the more handsome they are!

think tank urban disguise 40 v2 ... or slightly bigger 50 v2
very comfortable and trendy! ... unless you want to look like J.R Hartley with a Billingham! ;-)

I use a Kata 3N1-30 for carry on, holds a body + 2 or 3 lenses and tickets, passport etc.
