Camera bag to hold a Canon 300mm F2.8L

Does anybody have a bag that they use to carry their kit and also a canon 300mm L Lens?

The latch has become a little dodgy on the hard case so I dont trust it to stay shut when carrying so wouldnt mind a bag that will hold all my other gear and the lens all at once

I know I sound like a stuck record but Think Tank Airport Acceleration. My review here shows two configs. The 400 f/4DO is very similar in size to the 300 f/2.8L so should give you a view as to what else you can fit in.

They're not cheap I'm afraid. I think the latest version is £190 (I think mine was about £160) but its been my main bag for the last 2 years and has been on 5 international trips with me as well as being dragged all over this country.

It's currently set up to hold 300/2.8, 500/4 and 2x1D bodies and is still small enough for hand luggage!

yeah not too cheap are they. Also it is a little like a small suitcase which I don't think is what I am after. A rucksack type bag would be better really.

It is a rucksac... I took the view that a couple of hundred quid to protect several thousand worth of kit was money well spent.

Its rectangular to enable more to be fitted in, but it is a rucksac.

yeah your right sorry, I was clicking through the site looking at others and went back to the one that looks like a suitcase.

I know what you mean about the price, and when your spending thousands on kit then a couple of hundred on a bag is nothing...but you have to have that nothing at the time and for now im spent, xmas cleared me out. Might sell my Canon 1EG Pro Gadget bag to go towards it.
