Hello All,

I am currently in the market for a new camera bag. I current do have one although it is far bigger than I envisioned and although it comes in useful at times, I find it impractical for general use. I'm not really after a sizable bag, something compact and casual. It needs to house my Nikon D5500/with a lens and at most, another lens. I can't imagine myself taking all 3 of my lenses. I would also like it to have a fair few pockets (I'm a sucker for these and I find them quite useful) and a separate compartment for general use, as in I can store other things in separate from my camera gear. Before I got my current rucksack, I used to use a standard messenger bag lined with bubble wrap as a means of protecting my camera. Granted it wasn't ideal, but the bag was casual enough to not attract attention but also practical enough to house my stuff. I would now like something more purpose built. My budget also isn't high. Roughly £50ish.

I don't want to create a 2nd thread so allow me to kill 2 birds with one stone ! In a few weeks I'll be visiting some bus garages. It's an interest of mine and for the past few occasions, I've taken my camera along. My contention here is that the photos I've taken all tend to come out generic. As in, they don't seem to appear any different to someone whose taken similar photos on a 5 year old point and shoot. I know it's not the equipment but more so ...... me. I was wondering what kind of tips/ advice would forum dwellers recommend I use for these events. At least garage is internal so lighting would be interesting. I was thinking of potentially going about some HDR via exposure bracketing which is something I've been meaning to give a go. Hopefully If i can secure permission, I can do a timelapse in the future.

Recommendations would be appreciated.
Thanks,

The only perspective that I find I can think of is potentially placing the camera quite low and somewhat close to emphasize the size of these vehicles.

Only was I could go "high" is to potentially shoot from the top decker of another bus which might not be ideal as their window probably aren't best suited this as they aren't the best.
