I’m not sure I have enough bags at the moment. I only have one for each day of the week  , so… :help: please :ty:

What would you recommend for a small sling or over the shoulder. To hold a em1 mk3 with a 60mm Olympus lens and a 45mm. Most importantly I need it to hold a lightweight tripod or monopod.
I really don’t want a rucksack/backpack. Everything else (y)

Peak Design Sling 6l would probably do that - with the tripod slung underneath.

As lovely and expensive as they are, I should have said that I didn’t want to spent more that £40 as it will be used when walking the dog. Through woods. It’s going to get marks and scratched.

Double edged sword that one. I spent the money for that reason. I’d rather something good quality that can withstand my out and about me than buy something cheaper that will need replacing a lot sooner. Same reason I wear an omega in the kitchen and not a steel dive. I trust it to stand the test of time unlike the cheaper alternatives (although yes, that’s a seiko would suffice ).

I do agree with what you are saying, but my dog walks don’t last very long. If I didn’t have problems I would just carry my monopod (with legs). But it’s not that easy.
Just looking for something that will attached the monopod if I wanted to use it. I have woods just at the back of me so it a slow amble through them with the dog.

Ah, you should have said!

I don't like sling bags, and I now have three of these for general use

Can hold a G9 and 3 lenses, plenty of batteries, cleaning kit, spare cards and a couple of filters, or two lenses if one is the 100-300 and the other is on the camera.

They are not too wide so very comfortable to carry. One is over a year old and goes into the car every day and still looks new after wiping the mud off (allotment)

I have that very one. I bought it for £9.99 on 14th feb 2023 (it says). There’s just nowhere to store a monopod of a light manfrotto compact action tripod.

On the very rare times I use those bags and want a tripod, I have used another shoulder strap for the tripod, or attached the tripod bag to the main bags strap fixings with two pieces of double sided velcro

A couple of feet of double sided velcro would attach a 'pod to the main strap of any shoulder bag. Not a fan of sling type bags.

I have the Peak Design 10L...it is okay, it is overpriced for what it is. I don't like the compartments inside. It doesn't really need to be that shape with the side contour that restricts items going into the corners. There is also an obvious misstep too with the lack of pockets out the outside close to the body. It would be a good place to keep a wallet or phone.

The strap too starts fraying after 2 months.

Came across this thread whilst researching bag options for an impending camera purchase.
This looks great, and I realised it’s available on Aliexpress for about half the cost (£22.87 with free shipping as of today)
I understand some people feel there’s risk involved with Aliexpress but personally I’ve never had an issue and thought I should share the option here if others similarly stumble across this thread

I ended up with this for £13.04 from Temu.
It has everything I wanted. Straps underneath, good padding, room for main camera with lens and a little lens. Glasses, remote (and my wall-e figure as he goes where my camera goes :D

As good as that one above is and it’s now my main bag I ended up winning this on eBay for £15 bnwt.. Why??? I didn’t need it at all. I think it’s because I’m a photographer
