I have searched TP and googled, but I haven't been able to find the website where you are able to compare one camera/lens combination with another. I'm sure I've bookmarked it somewhere really safe :banghead:

Is anyone able to put me out of my misery and post the link please?

Sometimes I wonder how much effort some people put in? First hit on google for Camera size is woof woof‘s link above!

Well I for one am glad that they did ask on here. Wouldn’t have thought such a website existed but having had a look and a quick play I’m going to find it really useful as I start to try to unravel my confused thoughts on the next lens purchase.

And yes we can all sit alone in our studies or wherever tapping away into google but you know, sometimes (and especially at this current time) a little interaction with other people seems a better way of finding things out. And then there are always people like Woof Woof who seem only to happy to respond to people and help them out with things they’ve researched, know about or just have an opinion on.

Thank you so much! That is it. Much appreciated.

I now realise I had found it on google, but it was glitchy. I can see on my iPad it’s giving me options for lenses, but last night on my MacBook it would only allow cameras. It was flickering strangely as if it wasn’t showing the page properly, but I thought I was in the wrong place.

Out of interest, what Macbook are you using? my 2017 MB Pro has recently started playing all kinds of silly buggers, including flickering. My 2015 iMac is fine (bar the pink fringing, which is a different issue).

And sometimes it better to ask these types of questions on a dedicated photography forum rather than the www or that data collecting thing they call google.
Of course, getting the right key words matters.

And in asking Bee has helped at least one other person..

I Could be wrong but I think mine is a late 2014 and I’m not running the latest OS yet, so I’m not sure if that is the problem. I need to check my printer drivers before I update.

I’ll have to have a look later, but I think the whole page hadn’t loaded. It’s so long since I’ve looked at the site, I thought I was on a different site that did camera size only and not lenses.

The page was jumping around, or would flicker as if there were ads still loading, or as if it was all magnified and the format wouldn’t fit. It did settle but as I say, I don’t think it was complete which is why I was lost in cyberspace [emoji4]

My MBP probably is nearing the end of its life [emoji51]

Nice site but No Sony FE 600F4 .
Rob.

I agree with Robert it's a very nice site indeed, unfortunately the first two lenses I'd like to compare are also missing from the list, namely the Nikon 200-500 f5.6 and the 500 f5.6 pf, I can understand the pf not being there due to it being fairly new and rare but the 200-500? hasn't it been around since 2015.

That’s an interesting site! I didn’t know about it either.

I’m glad it’s been useful to people. I was actually looking it up to help someone else try and gauge sizes in this lockdown situation.

@Nawty my MBP is mid 2014, but having looked again, the flickering is happening as I try to scroll over where the images are. (The cursor won’t move at all at this point). So I think it is probably to do with the website rather than my MBP. It’s worth looking to see if there is a known problem with your model - my MBP is a replacement given to me by Apple after 5 motherboard failures of my previous MBP.

It’s taken me a while to work out why I was having problems going from the home page. To add lenses, you have to add the camera and then click on the view on the far right. Until you click on that view there is no option to add lenses. If you click on the link kindly supplied by @woof woof then you don’t have any problems adding lenses.

There is a comparison tool on Nikon's website.
