Does anyone here know of any very old churches/grave yards in the Cambridge area that have a lot of drama and character suitable for a location shoot?
 
Possibly not what you're after but here's one place near Cambridge.

I found it a very moving place.
 
Moving it is but not the right atmosphere. I am thinking something to suit an ancient demonic theme
 
I don't know how far you want to travel, but if you carry on into Suffolk you could try the Holy Trinity Church in Long Melford...dates back to 1484
 
Try the churches in Chesterton, Fen Ditton, Cottenham, Trumpington and Grantchester.
Then there is the Old Abbey, by Barnwell Bridge, not sure if there any gravestones?
 
If you want to travel out a bit, then Clophill Church in Bedfordshire is has what you require.
 
Thanks for all the suggestions. I dont want to go out further than Cambridge itself really but there's a few places you've given me to think about.

Clophill is a waste of time IMO. It's always said to be spooky and scarey but it's just an old ruin covered in grafiti and the only atmosphere these days comes from the herbs smoked by the local teenagers that hang around there.

I need to go out for a drive now and check them out :-)
