Calumet telescopic super Boom

Simple question for anyone who's got access to one of these, do you find the main handle doesn't hold very well once there's weight added?

I'm aware once properly counter balanced this shouldn't matter but this boom seems to slip very easily when I'm putting weights on either end and I'm just wondering if they're all like this or I've got one which needed a bit more QA.
 
How long have you had it for? It doesn't sound like it should happen.

In my experience Calumet are really good at exchanging anything if you're unhappy with it.

Half a year or so, I should have returned it immediately but I needed the boom...

I did eventually figure out it's due to the metal o ring by the main handle of the pivot clamp, swapping it with one from a Manfrotto boom sorted the problem, must get around to mailing Calumet for a replacement part.
 
Cool. I think they'd still replace it. I'm sure you'll get a replacement part easy enough though.
