Calumet's Ebay shop are doing these 60" umbrellas at half price. I bought a couple at Christmas and they are really well made and great value considering they are now the same price as an elcheapo umbrella from HK

quality brollies, they are convertible between reflector and shoot through (they have a backing that comes off) really well built....but they are REALLY big :P

Seriously....you won't be able to use this outside without some really heavy duty sandbags. You could pretty much use it to be mary poppins! I love mine, but probably wouldn't want to have two as my only brollies....the cheap chinese shoot throughs do fine as my 'standard' kit, but this soft brollie just gives you a stupidly huge and soft light source. Calumet ebay also have heavy duty brolly mounts that are basically the same as the manfrotto ones, that can easily support one of these. My chinese ones can, but its a bit more dodgy.

I have a £20 voucher, and need an umbrella mount and stand.

Should I get this or try and find another smaller one

The problem with this item is that when you include postage, you might as well have walked into the store and purchased it (asuming you live withing easy distance to a Calumet store).

How do you figure that out? £14.99 +£6.99 from Ebay (free p+p on any other items ordered at the same time) or £30 in the shop......

In your position I'd be tempted to use the voucher to get a Calumet umbrella adapter and buy a smaller shoot through from Ebay.
