Hello all.

I have a huge collection of Canon CDs with various version numbers and I really stopped trying to figure out what is what.

If I wanted to use it, what is the latest version of DPP that will work with these bodies and a 5D?

Is connecting via firewire the only way to set up the personal functions and what other software would I need to customize the cameras to my liking?

I would also like to enter my name into the camera as the previous owner's name is still in there.

All help appreciated, thanks!!

the latest version of dpp works with my 1dII, downloaded it the other day to test it out and its fine. DPP is for the raw files to tiff/jpegs, and I believe you can change the settings through it too...or its the other program.
connecting via FW is the only way of adjusting custom settings above those accessable in the menu, and this is also where you add your name into the exif files.
you'll need the WIA driver, loads of stuff on the canon support site, have a rummage and you'll find what you need pretty quickly. oh and get the english version, other versions may have either different languages or all of them in one = hefty download!

Cool, thanks.

Will have a look and see if I get it right. Mind if I PM you if I don't?

Cheers m8:thumbs:
