Just been looking on ebay at a mamiya C330s,dont these bits of fine engineering make you wonder how boring moden cameras are,i mean with this bit of kit you have to do something to get a image.Know what my xmas bonus is going to be spent going on

55mm lens
80mm lens
135mm lens and a C330s body,wont be able to sleep tonight:bonk:

Yup, I'v just bought a Mamiya 645j and it's my new favourite toy.

I know. The film/digital debate isn't just about IQ, dynamic range and resolution; the build quality, simplicity and handling of the older mechanical cameras comes into it too, for me at any rate.

Digital cameras just feel too clinical, older film cameras have a character of their own.
I love using my digi cameras and I will always take one with me but I feel far more connected with an image produced on film because I have had to do far more to get it.
