Just taken a headshot for a professional singer friend of mine and wondered if you could cast an eye over my retouching and give me some feedback please?

Curves adjustment, carefully painted the background white. New layer on top, lots of spot healing brush, some painting to smooth skin. New brightness/contrast adjustment layer, only unmasked under the eyes to brighten them a little. Whites of eyes dodged. Hue/saturation adjustment layer, set to half saturation, unmasked around the eyes to get rid of pink tiredness.

About right? All comments appreciated!

Thanks

Jonathan

looks really good for me but the only thing i could pick up on was that the left eye (left to us) looks like its been touched up near to the nose, might just need smoothing out a bit...

i like it, im not sure if a larger crop might have worked better with this particular model ? getting in all the shoulders, but then again i dont do portraits...

Thanks all :)

I'd fix the blotchy skintone and the amount of red generally in the skin, looks a little hot to my eyes. See how the highlights are a little yellowy compared to the base tone? That's usually because the red channel clips before the blue does.
OK - thanks - so is that a matter of creating a hue-saturation layer with yellow saturation set right down, and painting some holes in the layer mask over the highlights? Or have I got that totally wrong?
