ok im stuck for a present for my parents this year, not a clue at all, so i thought id take the easy way out and buy them drink!

so basically i want to buy some wine online maybe an assortment of half decent bottles of red.

any ideas folks, ive had a look at the sunday times wineclub offers, are their anymore places to check.

also has anyone seen ANY cat pencil cases in shops, my sister is very specific in that she wants a pencil case with a cat on it, apart from bob the builders pilchard the cat i cant really find much on ebay, unless i want a set of 3 pencil cases for which i have no use for the dog and the zebra, ONLY THE CAT!

i hate christmas shopping and im off to sweden with work next friday so need to get it all done before hand!

Most wine places like Virgin & Tesco will do a wine selection for you ...
Would this do as a Cat pencil case?
Paul ;)

I have just purchased some wine on line from a company called Laithwaites, they have some very good selections on their web site for sale.

www.laithwaites.co.uk

They have a selction of 12 bottles (6 Red & 6 White) that comes with 3 free bottles of rioja for a price of £42.50.

No - I dont work for them, but if anyone fancies buying from them, if you email me first with your details I can refer you to them and apparently qualify for a free couple of bottles of Red...

Happy Slugging....

I've ordered about 7 cases from the sunday times wine club and cannot fault their customer service at all. On 2 occasions we had a slight mix up, ordered 12 bottles of white, but 4 were red, they said keep the red as an appologie and the missing whites were sent straight away, second time we had a case come through which we didn't want, basically every 3 months as part of their 4seasons offers, they would send you details of the next case, we told them we didn't want this times but they sent it by mistake, phoned them up they said they would knock off 30% if we wanted to keep them.

I've just ordered 15 bottles for £45 including delivery and if you are not happy with any of the wines they'll exchange or refund.

Let me know if you want to go with them and i'll email them your details as you get a mega deal and I get 4 free bottles. ;)

laithwaites appear to be the same as sunday times. virgins reds case looks good :)

quick question are these "clubs" (tescos/laithwaite/sundaytimes/virgin etc) clubs in the form of you "join" them on the pretence that you have to either buy from subsequent catalogues or you have to actually go out of your way to prevent them sending you more! i ask because i remember the likes of britania music and the like where they got you with cheap cd's and then made you buy more once you were "in"

Laithwaites is the exception ... you do not 'Join' them ... you can have as much or as little as often ... or not as you like ... a one off would not be any problem for them ... and there is not a financial penalty ... ;)

I use them a lot ... too much probably ...

My personal favourite though would be ... a company called Vinceremos ... fabulous wines ... knowledgeable personnel ... and great service ... ... recommended ... :D

They are web based and get superb reviews ...

No tie ins what so ever, your free to order as much or as little, I even hadn't oredered for about 3 months and got a offer through the door last week aimed at new customers, just phoned them up and asked if I could use it, they said yes..bargin:clap:

I enjoy drinking the white wine from the furry...

Oh wait wrong forums :coat:

Don't you have Booth's at your neck of the woods whitewash? I seem to remember being impressed with their selection.

Laithwaites are good BTW with a very informative site.

Anyone see Michel Chapoutier on BBC2 this week being interviewed by Oz Clark and Brian May - wasn't that funny!
