buying Nikon Z8

I recently moved to London and noticed that camera & lenses are significantly more expensive here compared to other countries. I believe this could be due to the Value Added Tax (VAT). Could you recommend any reliable stores that offer competitive prices? I am specifically interested in purchasing a new Z8 camera.

Think you may have an issues getting hold of a z8 quick, if you want to save money and are not fussed about getting a grey import have a look at Panamoz.

Search the forum for Panamoz and you will see peoples experiences.
 
I would recommend Panamoz too ... but they don't have any stock at present :(

Do a forum search for Cotswold Cameras.
Some poor reports.

That’s why you have to do a search.
But there’s something in my memory says check it out.

I would ask them “is it really in stock?”

thanks a lot :) im from hong kong, there is no VAT for buying goods. but will get used to it because UK will be my second home :)

o i see, one more option is good for all customers :) will compare it to Panamoz :) thanks
 
Panamoz again ( when they have some ) Have bought Z6, D500 and many lenses from them and they have a three year warranty - UK based

They do not evade tax - its complicated. Prices low partly because of lower whokesale prices in HK etc - you would know.

Pay with credit card for section 75 cover or Paypal. Avoid e infinity is my suggestion.

Almost all UK dealers are sound eg WEX, LCE, Willinsons and so on.

You might get longer than Nikons standard 1 year warranty by talking to Greys of Westminster

For myself its Panamoz ( again )

NB recalls NOT problem for gray market and Nikon UK - they did one on my D750 ex Hdew - grey and got new battery deals fot D500. I told them they were grey but they are not stupid - they can read their own serial numbers.

thanks a lot, as a hong konger, buying in hong kong is really way much cheaper than UK (usually 30-40% off)
