Buying Nikon in the USA

I am looking at buying a D7100 and have been comparing prices.

In the US the equivalent Sterling price is roughly £800, Amazon are quoting £985.

Is it worth buying in the US? I was thinking of using B&H Photo in NYC?

Anything I need to think about?

The warranty will only be valid in the US AFAIK.

It the warranty is US only, I guess that makes it pretty much worthless, may have to stick with UK then and pay a bit more.

I did consider import duty etc

I did consider buying from America few times before as I have family over there but the hassle one will have to deal with if anything goes wrong its not worth it, specially if the price difference isn't that much.

video might be NTSC & not PAL? charger will have wrong plug.
Oh & of course you should declare it on entry to the UK & pay VAT ...
