Buying from Digital Rev on eBay

I am looking at a lens on eBay sold as new from Digital Rev located in HK.

Ive never bought on ebay overseas before and was wondering will i actually pay in GBP but with a conversion, therefore costing me more after i click the Buy It Now button? Also what about import charges???

it should show you before you click to commit what the UK price is..

If I recall.. digital review offer to refund any import duty you ahve to pay... I would look it up in there T&Cs :)
 
On Ebay DR list some items with tax/VAT included and others without. It will say on the bottom of the auction which it is.

It says at the bottom

"Import Tax/Duty/Clearance Fee

The item will be shipped to you from our Hong Kong office. The item may be subjected to customs import tax/fee when it enters your country. By buying internationally, you are considered an importer. Therefore it is your responsibility in case there is some import tax/fee to pay."

Once i click on the link for more info it says

"DigitalRev currently offers 3 types of Buy It Now listings, the "All Inclusive", the "No VAT" and the "Standard" listings."

The listing just has a buy it now with no mention of the above types
 
£554 vat & postage inc on their website - Canon 10-22....

You could take the risk of not getting stung for the vat via ebay - but then again is that still cheaper than a UK model :shrug:

Have you tried OSD....

£499 from OSD thats delivered.... They even refund the vat/import charges - if any....

That listing is a standard listing. You pay whatevever cutoms and tax there may be.

The all inclusive has paid the VAT and customs charges, the No Vat pays you the VAT back but not the customs charges.
