Hi, I will be in Hong Kong and would like to get a fuji x-t1 (either new or pre-owned) with the 35mm lens whilst I am there. Having never been I wondered if anyone could recommend any particular shops to visit, as I've heard there's more than a couple to choose from!!

My advice is simply not to buy in the first shop you visit. Ask for the best price - then wander off to the next store. There are a few side street stores that are better in pricing than the tourist stores on the main roads. When I bought my stuff a few years ago - it came from a store on Carnarvon Road in Kowloon, although I don't recall the stores name.

Have a look at the link. A good few recommendations. I have used the Cam2 store in Mong Kok (a tad tricky to find, as you can't see it from the street - 9th floor - have to go via a rickety old lift - worth it though), the new one in Times Square (can't remember the floor, but it's near the top - Causeway Bay), and various of the shops on Stanley Street. I would avoid like the plague the ones on Nathan Road in TST.

Thanks - good to get some recommendations from people who have been there before. Will be sure to shop around whilst avoiding Nathan Road.

I bought my D750 from Hing Lee on Stanley Street - by the raised walkway that goes up to Soho, after comparing prices in Kinefoto and Mirama. The prices there for Canon and Nikon gear seem better than up in Mong Kok. That said, Cam2 in MK had some great deals on the Fuji gear in November - I got my X100T from there.

Stanley street and Mong kok sound like great places to start the search. Has anyone had positive experience of buying pre owned cameras in HK? Always something I'm wary of doing but would love to stretch my budget to an x-t1 and this may be the only way...
