Yes
Hi, I've currently got a Canon 600D and I was planning on upgrading from my kit lens (18-55mm) to the 15-85mm. Where should I go to purchase the lens? As I've looked on Ebay and it's a lot cheaper than those on Amazon/in stores (by about £150!).

Also, I came across: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/161316785665?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT when I was looking for things. Is the 7D deemed to be an upgrade from the 600D? As there are no bids on it atm, and £300 for a body doesn't seem too bad? I've looked around for 7D prices and it seems like this is considerably lower than others- is there anything that I've missed/should I stay away from that listing?

Thanks!

  • It includes everything in the box still in its factory packaging.
  • The camera was carefully tested when it came to our warehouse, just to ensure it worked correctly before being carefully packaged again. The camera has NO fingerprints or marks on it and was re-packaged after a 5 minute test. The camera works perfectly!
Maybe I'm just an old cynic but those two statements would make me a bit wary of what I was buying.

Yeah, something just didn't seem right about it. Aside from say Curry's/high-street stores, where should I go to buy a legitimate 15-85mm lens/lens in general, that isn't too overpriced?

:plus1: Why open it to test? Personally I'd use a reputable dealer. I use Canon gear & everything camera and lens wise has ALWAYS been sealed and only opened by the dealer in my presence (Park Cameras).

To me there is something not quite right however, if you buy using PayPal you do have some protection. You pay your money & take your chances.

Awesome, I haven't heard of them before. The condition is described as mint- is this normally a true representation or is it exaggerated? Also, if there is a problem, how good/bad is their customer service?

MPB are superb and on this forum so have a dig around if you have questions, customer service is excellent and you will have a 6 month warranty.

As above, MPB are generally superb. They advertise on here and have an excellent reputation. I have used them several times and am quite happy with them - and I'm a fussy b****r!!!
