Wanted to tell someone about this as so pleased.
Well, remember me saying that I was hopeful of getting stuff with a press/sports agency well, I met up with them yesterday.
In two weekends I am off to Tamworth to shoot the Aztecs away as this goes onto BBC Bristol, then next month, I am heading to Wigan for the playoffs, all paid for by the UK American football league. Later in the month upto Sheffield for another jolly and best of all I have a four day 'go anywhere' press pass for the Bristol Balloon fiesta as well as a balloon ride which they want me to document. Likely to be doing the ashton court music festival too. Evidently it seems whilst there are plenty of 'pros' in Bristol, these guys want to stay small, focused and as such need two or three dedicated guys as the one guy cant be everywhere at once! I am hopeful of shooting some pro soccer and rugby too, but will see.
This has all happened as I was casually shooting in Bristol and I was approached by Gary, he struck up a chat and we got on amazingly. right place, right time. He asked me to submit some work to him which I did, he liked and its all on! He is a Nikon man through and through so no lens exchanges sadly !!!!
To put it simply, I cannot believe but after 2.5 years of **** I think the tide has turned my way.
Thanks for listening. Not being bombastic, just so happy, its been a long time coming
Diego.
