busy file on a mac

Hi

I am tidying up my imac and want to copy a complete folder of images onto a back up disc but when I try to do it I get a message saying some files are busy but not which ones. ANy idea how I can find out

Just quit all apps, that usually does the trick. If not do a restart.

Edit: Sorry didn't read to post correctly, not too sure how to find out which files are in use. But if i do get this problem i just do the above.

thanks, I did a reboot but not closed all apps so will try that, thanks
