I done some low key shots of my wife with one flash and a 60x60cm softbox similar to this with a black tablecloth as a background. Hi key shots were a bit more difficult and needed a lot more post production to the point the are only really good printed at 6x4. Also, full body shots were a bit poor, 3/4 shots just about ok.
I'm assuming you want to shoot indoors and with a neutral background!
You can do plenty with that kit. Low key is a bump shoot favourite, but in weather like this, dreamy fields and natural light would be a winner. Plus one for the strobist blog soooo much fun to be had with bump shoots
Was thinking of doing it in the conservatory. lots of light plus softbox and black backdrop. I haven't got the backdrop yet just looking for something cheap as i may not do this again. I know what you mean about out door shots but pregnant women can have big mood swings(I think) so I my have to go with her feelings on the day.
