I have built a lightbox with 2 500w halogen lights pointing inside it, but when i fire my pop-up flash it makes a blue reflection, how can i stop this?

here is an example.

If you have two 500w lamps pointing in there do you need the flash on? You could turn it off? :)

Have you set your white balance to tungsten? I'd guess that changing the WB to tungsten would make the flash light blue.

If you need all the lights then you need to balance them with gels.

That's kind of where I am Kev, I just thought it might be easier to do without the flash :)

It's the mixed lighting that's doing it, try turning the flash off :)

A wee scrap of cto over the onboard should do the trick

ahh, i will turn the flash off then, i need to make the holes at the side a bit bigger to let more light in really at the bottom so there will be no shadows at all.

I did end up setting it to tungsten in the end, maybe it was that but i am sure i tried all of them.

those 500watt lamps run hot dont they.

cto is a warm up filter BTW. It should balance out the blue back to neutral.

Naughty Flash for not explaining! lol.

You could try that, you might only need 1/2 or 1/4 cto (those are in the sample pack) but only way to find out is to try it
