just looking for some advice on what to buy
i have two flashes (560 III and a metz 48 af1), two light stands, a radio trigger (for the metz)

so at the very least i need 2 heads for the light stands :), plus a couple of cheap largeish soft boxes or umbrella's, but they scare me abit, worried ill take my eye out, or someone elses :s

a pair of gold umbrella's or similer too perhaps

will be doing macro stuff, pets, kids, people.
budget of 50quid for 2 heads, 2-4 light modifiers

In your boat, with a limited budget, I'd go for a single larger softbox for one of your flashes and work with that. Failing that a shoot through brolly and a reflector. Reflectors are incredibly versatile bits of kit.

I've got an Easybox softbox and it gives good results, is portable and fairly cheap (c.£40) however will put you over budget. for £50 you can get 2 heads (c. £16 from Amazon) and 2 translucent brollies (c £8, these are not great quality, however will give you softer light within your budget). I'd also recommend a reflector with your leftover cash, could give you something your flash set up won't.

I ordered bits a few days ago.. 2 heads, a b type and a c type, 2 each of gold , silver, white umbrellas, and a flashbender clone.

and my adapters for standard type iso shoe won't work with trigger, so need to figure out that, again :-(. Guessing its cos there's different standards urgh.
