budget calculator 2007

about £15 better off - though I guessed at some figures.

there will be 2 budgets in my lifetime that ACTUALLY benefit me and i can tell you exactly when they will be....

the first one will be tyhe budget BEFORE i emigrate, the one that pushes me over the edge...

the second one will be the one imediately AFTER when i laugh at how much better off i am away from a labour government who have never actually listened to the people they are there to represent.

hows about this for an idea gordon, you stop letting people into this country who dont deserve it, to either spunge off our welfare system or to steal our jobs and you make sure people get back into employment rather than spunging from the welfare system because its advantageous to do so.......

£215 better off (and I got a decent pay rise)... :D

Until the level of NI kicks in that is...

£333.6 better off :)

£60 better off but thats only on quick figures

£220 better off for me but I will be getting getting a new car within the next 12 months so road tax and fuel consumption will fall. So should be even better off, Nearer £300 I'd expect. Almost £6.00 per week, not alot when you look at it like that but at least it willbe in my pocket not Gordon Brown's.

Apparantly I'll be £21 better off, but by the time they raise the council tax, that'll be gone ;)

Oh ****! £1021.05 worse off. Time to sell the Koenigsegg!

Or the wife

:D

on the plus side, i would be £4565 better off it i was a single parent of 24, working a 45hr week, on 17k income, WITH 44 kids...

What the bloody hell is my ex wife whinging about then, if she's gonna be better off by 4.5k

edit, read post thoroughly before replying, just noticed the 44 kids bit, don't think theres a chance of that happening he he

Ian you must be drinking & smoking yourself into the grave early!! I'm about £180 better off. Mainly tax with the rise of the 40% threshold. NI I'm hit with over £100 pa and a few pounds down on fuel usage.

So supposedly better off but as noted above with council tax rise I'm about the same as I was in the last 12 months.

It's a shame he's lifted the 10p rate as that certainly helped those on lower incomes.

I'm slightly worse off but that's due to fuel and air travel. Tax wise I'm better off as my income is pension and dividends. What that calculator doesn't cover is the increase in corporation tax that will hit me.

I'm single with no children, so I must be worse off.

Brown has screwed the childless every year, so why change this year. It's about time people were told that if you can't afford children then don't have them. I'm sick to the back teeth of paying taxes for other folks kids.

The BBC calculator does not reflect the increase in tax allowances.

Maybe that's because Brown did not raise allowances.

I'm single no children - see above.....

Higher rate tax payer though.

:woot: Woohoo! £31 extra for me - No mention of the "Kerso Tax" which puts me a few grand in the red again
Paul

I'm about £400 better off....... So now I can afford a new camera!!!

None of us are better off just now, all the tax increases come into effect now or very soon, the tax cut not for another year and a bit, by which time there will have been another budget that will negate them!

Actually, i dont smoke, rarely drink because of illness, i am however single, and can use 200 litres of petrol a week because of my job !

£1,171!!!!!! Fantastic Gordon, my new best mate

Okay, so to achieve this I have to earn nothing, not drive, not drink, not smoke & have 10 kids - but hey it's all do-able.

Fun playing with the calculator then, real figure was a paltry £230, so I'm packing the job in and off shagging for 8 more kids - car & wine is a bit of a problem though. Perhaps I should just emigrate, then come back as an asylum seeker - that must be worth a free house and £30grand a year?

Cool..:D

Next year, the indications are that you will be £64.18 better off.
