Does anyone have BT Infinity Option 3 (200Mbps) or 4 (300Mbps)?

I'm curious as to what the upload speed is on the packages, I know the lower packages but can't find an answer as to options 3 and 4.

And what router/firewall are people using with this?

I've got it coming - should have had it two weeks ago but BT/Openreach are being their usual incompetent selves. Both Infinity 3 and 4 are 20Mbps upstream. I've opted for Infinity 3, as I don't think 4 will give me any real world difference.

I wanted to go for option 4, but my firewall will hit limits at 200mbps supposedly, so option 3 is looking likely for me.

Thanks for the responses guys, much appreciated :)

Oh, and whilst I've got a HH5 sitting here waiting for BT to get their act together, I'll be swapping back to my Asus RT-N66U as soon as the engineer's back is turned.

Unless you're absolutely mad for bragging rights or you've got a ridiculous number of high demand users/uses, I doubt you'd see the difference between 3 and 4. Other than saving £150 a year...

I host a lot of services through my connection so upload increase wouldve been ideal, but as there's no difference then I simply can't justify option 4

Likewise, I'm planning on running Plex, and have a home server running so a greater upload speed might eventually be very handy. Are you already on Infinity, or is the installation new?

Moving house so currently on Infinity 2 but new house has the fttp ready to go so just need to choose a package

Excellent. Infinity 3 is the wait to go, at least until they start ramping up the upstream capability/allowances.

What are you using as a firewall? Idle curiosity only, no sign of FTTP where I live. I currently use pfSense on an R710 with two L5520s, and since I have "only" 40Mbps FTTC it's hardly stretched.

No worries, it's a Cisco Meraki MX64

The Meraki devices are pretty good, although you make a sacrifice in functionality to a degree with anything that is pushed to the cloud for management. But the level of visibility over the network is excellent, combined with a Meraki switch and Access-Point and you've got everything manageable from the cloud :)
