Bronze anniversary present help.

As I seem to ask for help every year I'm asking again.

It's bronze / salt this year and I'm struggling on both. Salt doesn't seem very exciting unless I've missed something and bronze seems to be a problem too. Mrs WW has ordered me not to buy her any more jewellery and she doesn't like clutter so some sort of ornament/sculpture thing is probably out too so what's left?

I did spot a bronze puzzle cylinder but I bought her one of those years ago.

Any sensible suggestions?
 
There are some nice (and small, so should escape the clutter clause!) Himalayan Salt objects. Plenty of different cooking salts available too.

I'm looking at these. The most tempting thing in this line I've seen so far is a lamp but she already has some. Being a Thai Buddhist she has a sort of shine thingy on some shelves in the bedroom but there are already three lamps on the top of it so another one might be a bit much.

I'll keep looking.

Another thing that I did think of was that someone on the forum made a pen set for her a few years back and she was very happy with it and I did think that if it's possible to do it a bronze pen might be an idea... She's finished the various courses she was doing but she does still write quite a bit.

I did think of that and I did have a quick look. I can't seem to stop buying watches at the moment, two came today :D but unfortunately Mrs WW only wears those plastic looking digital things which link to everything and monitor everything. She has a few of them.

She's getting really hard to buy for but as I've bought her a traditional present for every anniversary so far I was to try and keep it up.

I know you said she is not into ornaments and such but what about a bronze rose?

Maybe a symbolic bronze necklace? Also I've came across this very cool looking soundwave art https://www.etsy.com/listing/1237917962/8th-anniversary-gift-bronze-anniversary You can use a song that's meaningful to both of you or a voice message of you saying something sweet to her, or something you've sent to her lately.
My parents celebrated their 35th years anniversary this year, it's coral and my dad planned a vacation and put the tickets into a coral envelope :D I think a bronze one might work just as good if you decide to get tickets to something. You can also make an anniversary video using bronze colored backgrounds. I make one for my parents every year, it's super cheesy but they like it! Here are some general ideas, it's by no means an actual gift but it could be a nice adding to one.

Unfortunately she's slowly pushed me out of the kitchen and restocked it and salt and pepper sets are something that we always have.

So difficult!!!

Yes! I've seen these and one is definitely on the list of possibilities. Another thing I've been thinking of is a plaque, if they do them in bronze. I got twin stars named after us and although you do get a certificate I thought a plaque might be an idea too.

She buys large pink salt and peppers that come in a plastic grinders. I'll definitely think about this.

Posh salt and pepper grinders are an idea as is the sound wave or plaque. I've got plenty of time as although it's our anniversary soon she's abroad at the moment and that gives me more time.

Obviously Bronze wedding anniversary is nowhere near as long as us,(47 past) on the day we nod at each other and say “ another year eh” we might go for a meal, but that’s a normal thing anyway, rather save the money for/towards a holiday.

As we have no children we're not really holding back on any spending and of course we donate and help friends too so we don't feel at all guilty about our spending. On our last anniversary I framed one of our wedding photos, us taken from behind holding hands, and I added the words of Slim Whitman's Happy Anniversary. I sang it to her in comedy mode and she howled laughing.
 
Another vote for a trip to somewhere salty. Could be anything from a day trip to Skegness or an ocean cruise or a spa day with a salt wrap with fish and chips for dinner :) There is a big saltworks in Cheshire as well if Poland is too much bother!

She loves Whitby so I could book a hotel there.
 
A ha'penny from her birth year? Or even a farthing (a prettier coin) if she's old enough.

That'd interest me but I don't think it'll interest her. She does understand about the tradition of not giving a purse as a present without putting a coin in it and she does have a lucky coin given that way so I don't think she'll want another.

It's a great idea though and I might get something for myself :D

This is the sort of thing I'd have gone for a few years ago but as I said above I'm banned from buying her any more jewellery.

She really is getting difficult to buy for. She doesn't like any jewellery which could attract attention, she doesn't like clutter and her ideal is for everything to be very modern, white and clutter free with empty surfaces, she doesn't like anything she sees as wasteful or disposable and adding to waste.

She's into meditation (she's Buddhist) and exercise, days out and holidays and healthy food. I think she'd be happy with something keep fit related but she's got just about everything, exercise bike, weights, mat. and food related she's got just about every gadget and utensil imaginable and these things aren't necessarily bronze.

She's difficult. I'll look at the options and suggestions over the weekend and report back :D
 
Bronze and salt? A ships propeller? ;)

Hmmm bronze and salt a sunken ships propeller springs to mind , I think the titanic one would be a tad to large though

I like to buy presents as life without presents loses a little magic, IMO. I know sometimes we don't need anything but I think getting a present is nice so even though Mrs WW said not to buy her anything I wanted to :D

After much thought I settled on...

A few bars of dark chocolate with nuts in it and a bronze heart on a chain. It wasn't expensive, just a little something to mark out 8th. I also got her a card which has the number of days on it :D
