So after purchasing a Bronica ETRS set up a couple of months ago...

-Body
-2x 120 backs
-Polaroid back
-Zenzanon 75mm 2.8
-Zenzanon 50mm 2.8
-AE-II prism finder
-Speed grip

... I realised the 2 screws holding the grip-to-body winding crank winder were loose. I stupidly decided I'd tighten them 'later' and forgot about them until I went to take the speed grip off again when the winding mechanism fell off the speed grip! Basically, I want to know if anyone knows what size the screws are? I've looked all over the internet and can't find the information anywhere and it's not in the manuals either. Tomorrow I'm going to trawl round opticians and make my way to Sid and Jane in Warwick to seek help there too.

TL;DR: What size are the screws for the holes in the pictures?

Pop into a local engineering shop, they should be able to measure it and give you the size you need

Ah! I did think about that but assumed they could only measure actual screws (which are long gone) rather than the holes they should sit in. I'll try that as well, thank you :)

Don't know how much of a rush you're in but I can try and measure the screws on my SQA winder which I would have thought would be the same when I get home next week (although I'll susptect you'll have it sorted by then).

Do the Japanese use metric or imperial threads as a general rule? I did notice when I took a film back that all the screws were the same diameter but different lengths. Wouldn't be surprised if they used the same screws in the grip.

Jak, did you ever get sorted out with this problem?

If it's of any help, the screws that hold the M42 lens mounting plate to a Zenit E body will work perfectly for the winding crank on your grip.......length, diameter and thread are spot on!

I did get it sorted in the end, I took it to Clock Tower Cameras in Brighton who replaced the screws and recalibrated the grip tension (or so they said, anyway) for £2! But that's certainly good to know, and hopefully if anyone has the same problem and does a google they'll find this thread :D
