Ive been asked to "have a look" at a mates laptop, he took it to PC World to get fixed and was unhappy with the quote so just brought it home.
Ive managed to get almost everything working apart from the screen - That is it has two wight lines running down the middle. What I am wondering is will it be the screen, or could it be the cable connecting it to the mobo or even the gfx chip?
Dont want to have to buy any spare parts that I wont need. I hope to eliminate the chip soon when I get it plugged into a monitior.
