Hi all

currently with talktalk for broadband/phone. Pay £21 a month including line rental. Use my landline to make calls hardly ever. once or twice a month tops. Broadband I use the internet once or twice a week and to try and watch iplayer via my ps3 if it'll work without the white circle of death coming up all the time.

Just wondering if I could find a cheaper deal, looked at 02 as Im a customer but not particularly cheap even then. Anyone know any others? Got to be less than £21 including line rental.

Also if you swap supplier is it possible to keep same email address?

Thanks

Doubt if you will get much cheaper.

You will keep any hotmail, yahoo, gmail, etc. addies but will lose your talk talk (tiscali) ones.

Cheers guys. Maybe ringing my lot and whinging that I need a new router might be a plan?

I use a dongle from 3M plugged into a router at home to feed 2 PCs when needed.

I get about 20Gb a month at a cost of £16.00 monthly - no telephone line needed.

And of course I can take it with me if I ever go out and need a broadband connection.

Speeds are a bit slow compared to other forms of broadband but I've never found it a real nuisance since I don't download huge files like films etc.

Have a look on uswitch. They usually have deals.

If you want to keep the same email address then it has to be either a free one like yahoo or a domain based one. You lose the isp specific one if you switch. That's why I set up a domain based one years ago. I can move around isp as much as I like.

I'm with O2 (phone and broadband) and I'm quite happy to be paying a little more as their service and customer service is second to none!

Been with them for 3 years now, you get an 0800 number for customer services and technical help and both teams are in the UK.

I think I pay £27 per month for line rental, free evening/weekend phone calls and their middle "unlimited" BB package (up to 20MB d/l..... I get 17mb). A few months I've been in the 30-40gb download region and still not had any problems with their "fair use" policy.

The only reason I may consider moving from them is to get on to fibre BB which they don't currently do.
