Yes
Not sure if its photography related but with the Mountain Gorillas close by its a shame it may restrict tourists to visiting them. Their conservation is partly built around tourists so lets hope its doesn't negatively affect them too much. It also shows how wildlife rangers are putting their lives on the line to help conservation of such important species.

Yes I saw it on the news an awful situation
The wildlife rangers there risk thier lives every day to protect the gorillas

A fair part (about 35%) of the DR Congo has a FCO advise against all travel warning, the rest has a see our advice before travelling warning.

What was it the Donald said about these countries being sh** holes which had the left wing extremists foaming at the mouth with indignation?

Looks like he was right. I feel very sorry for the people but anyone going to these places to work, visit or holiday needs their head examined IMHO.

There are many countries and parts of Africa that are safe to visit I know I've been

A good outcome to what is a tragic event. Very sad one young park ranger los5 their life trying to protect the mountain gorillas.

It’s a shame that it’s occurring, I had heard about the mountain gorillas treks in Virguna National Park a few years back having seen fantastic stories about them. It was one of those positive conservation story where tourists were both helping the local community and the mountain gorillas. Let’s hope the security situation improves so that both the community and gorillas can once again benefit from tourists visiting.
