I have and had a great time, went on a 'Keeper day' so got access to some of the enclosures, I took a 70-200 and a 300 so you will be fine with the 70-300 ... there might be an opportunity to photograph the little Harvest Mice so the 16-85 might work there. It's a really friendly place and the staff are very helpful, @Gremlin is a regular visitor.
Ooops missed this, but yes well worth it, I done a couple of photography days there, one a general mammals and owls and one the owls in the bluebells.
You get to go in with the foxes, wildcats and otters, keepers entice the squirrels out and pose them in the trees and hedgehogs on logs
Not sure if they bring the owls out or that is only specialist days
With regards lenses, I think I was using a 70/200 and 18/70 on both occasions
Have to admit mine was a last minute members only day but the normal ones are similar I believe, a few pictures here
and the owls in the bluebells, well worth it if they do it again next spring
