Bristol this weekend

we usually go to Bristol every year for the sound and vision hi fi show and book into a premier inn on the outskirts. I usually leave booking the hotel till quite late just in case it snows or something else crops up. This year I've found my usual premier inn is fully booked, my second choice I booked the last room and my third choice is now fully booked. In previous years we've been in one of about 6 or 7 rooms taken in the hotel. I've googled events in Bristol this weekend and cant find anything unusual going off, anybody know what is?

MIGHT be the Classic Bike show but that's a bit of a way down the road in Shepton Mallet. Rescheduled from earlier in the month when it was snowed off.

There is rugby in Cardiff I belive too, might be related if people can’t get hotels there.

Both answers make sense. Last year there was a rugby match somewhere nearby and we had a few supporters in the hotel. I just searched for a Premier inn at Shepton Mallet and nothing available locally.

Seems like its a martial arts tournament.

They are also building the venue for next weekend's Massive Attack concert on the old Filton airfield and the local hotels are pretty full with construction workers.
