Hello all, I'm Alex.

Born and bred in Bristol, I first started taking an interest in photography quite a few years ago and got my first SLR two years ago - in the form of an EOS 400D.

I haven't had all the time in the world to spend learning the ins and outs of my camera, quite shamefully. I'd say I'm quite a competent post-processor (I've been working with photoshop for around five years), however my actual photography skills are relatively weak. I rely more on the post-processing to get the effect I want, rather than the actual photo-taking. With a gap year coming up and plenty of time on my hands, this is something I want to change. I really want to be at one with my camera and learn how to create stunning photos with my actual photo and not with photoshop.

Hello Alexander, I live just outside Bristol, we will have to see if we can get out together, I do like to think that Photography makes for a good team sport and is a great way to learn.

I am out in Yate. I work shifts so I get days off all over the place, that could come in handy, I am laso a Canon user so I should be able to help you with getting the best out of your camera.

I will PM over my number, I am on nights for the next 3 days so may struggle to get me until early next week.
