My new EOS 400D arrived yesterday. Put the battery on charge overnight. Just turned it on for first time this evening. Very exciting, lots to discover- however...I'm concerned by a loose rattling sound that seems to come from somewhere within the camera when I move it about.
I've taken the kit lens off and put another lens on it, but it still happens even with no lens attached to the camera.
Thought it might have been the strap hitting the camera at first, but it definitely seems like something inside.
I don't have to move the camera much- just a slight to and from in my hand and it's quite audible.
The camera seems to be in full working order- haven't had time yet to test all its functions but it's taking pictures OK.
Maybe it's nothing to worry about?
Or perhaps I should send it back?
I bought it from Amazon, but I'm going away on holiday next week and won't have time to send it back and receive a replacement. Have checked their site
www.amazon.co.uk/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=116...
and it looks like they operate a 30day returns policy so I'm sure they'll replace it without any questions easily enough, but the policy is a bit vague about defective items ("a reasonable period of time"?)
Any thoughts?
